Kassidy Mefford Love is a native of Wyoming and has spent the last twenty-two years photographing weddings and Real Estate, predominantly in California, Mexico and Nicaragua and with destination shoots all over the world. She began developing her signature eye at seventeen years old after shooting her first wedding, shortly followed by her first nationally aired documentary at eighteen. An accomplished writer and driven filmmaker, Kassidy has explored the many facets that influence creative photography and photojournalism. She always strives to see something extraordinary in everything she photographs.
Being an honors graduate of the prestigious Brooks Institute of photography in Santa Barbara, California proves her technical skill, but it is her genuine demeanor, her photographic style and vision that is memorable. As a photojournalist for several California based newspapers and magazines, Kassidy photographed countless homes in the Napa and Sonoma valleys for Sotheby’s, Coldwell Banker and others. She has created a distinctive style of shooting; capturing true moments as they present themselves and representing a home in its most beautiful way. She doesn’t just capture a room how you would see it in real life, but also the little vignettes that clients work so hard to create that make a house feel like a home.
Kassidy lived in the Southern Nicaraguan surf town of Playa Gigante for six years in which she founded a non-profit organization called The Sweet Water Fund, which empowers local women through job opportunities, a healthy lifestyle and the arts. She built a kitchen at the local school from recycled plastic bottles, a bridge over a river so elementary kids could get to school, provided annual school supplies for the children through fundraisers, and started a health and fitness initiative for the women that still exists today. During this time, she owned and operated a highly successful Surf Lodge / Tour company, managing fifteen employees and increased sales and satisfaction by 80%, with 100% five-star ratings on Tripadvisor for excellent service and hospitality.
After Nicaragua, Kassidy spent three more years as a photographer and filmmaker in Napa Valley where her two sons were born. In the new year of 2016, she and her little family ventured south once again to the sunny shores of the Riviera, Nayarit and settled in San Pancho Mexico, just ten minutes North of Sayulita, Mexico.
Kassidy worked for Fred Feibel of F.L. Feibel y Asociados Bienes Raices, photographing all of their listings and creating promotional videos, as well as volunteering for EntreAmigos (the local community center) events and fundraising for the local Montessori school (Escuela delMundo).
Kassidy decided to join her husband, Benny Love, and open Wanderlust Real Estate and Development with her business management skills, hospitality, website building, and photojournalism skillset. Kassidy has also taken the AMPI certified Real Estate course, Bienes Raices I, so she is informed in Mexican real estate laws and knows the market well. Kassidy and her photography team will continue to professionally photograph and shoot video of our listings and make sure that the media is posted on our website promptly and to the MLS and FLEXmls as well as Facebook and Instagram. We pride ourselves on quality and integrity.
She was a principal photographer at the 2017 + 2018 Festival Sayulita, Principal Photographer at the 2013 BottleRock Music Festival in Napa Valley, as well as the principal photographer for the annual groundbreaking fundraiser, the Staglin Family Winery Music festival for Mental health, six years in a row.
