Standing ankle deep in the Pacific and looking back toward the mountains, one could follow a bird through the lagoon sanctuary, behind the Park of the Brotherhood, to the unparalleled bedroom balcony of Honduras 18, a one-of-a kind home, custom built to connect to nature. This artist inspired, thoughtful home is in a class by itself in San Pancho, Mexico.
An easy walk to restaurants, shops and the beach, its central location make it blissfully convenient and the custom walls, hefty gate and inner focus make it extremely private and comfortable. All of the built-ins were considered to complement the experience of the space as well as its lofted ceilings for passive cooling from the ever-present ocean breeze. It has an open floor concept where everyone feels included with private nooks to break up the space. It can be indoor / outdoor living with wall to wall windows and large doors opening out to the pool, or it can be cozy and private with black-out curtains and an oversized couch and ottoman warming the corner.
The main house has one spectacular upstairs bedroom with a plush king size bed facing the floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony leading out to the bird sanctuary and ocean breeze. It has two full bathrooms, a large art studio space with 15-foot ceilings and custom track lighting to display wall art as well as custom track lighting throughout the home on dimmers for total control of night illumination.
Upon entry from the courtyard, the full kitchen lit by natural light, with large island and custom-built stools will undoubtedly encourage conversation… the perfect place to entertain. The washer and dryer, large pantry, and dishwasher are all tucked behind custom natural-wood color cabinetry. Minimalist open shelves hover above the large farmhouse sink and perfectly placed skylights peek throughout the house to keep it lit all day long without flipping a switch.
The grand studio space can also be customized into an extra one or two-bedroom with designs included.
The granny suite or casita is attached to the pool courtyard and features a full kitchen, pantry, full bathroom and high-ceiling loft with Queen size bed under skylights with views of the Higuera Blanca tree looming overhead, once again, connecting us with nature.
Upon entering the gates from the street, the beautiful lines of the house stand out and the hot Mexican sun softens as one steps up to the courtyard, shaded by the large Higuera Blanca tree. An outdoor shower is conveniently placed just inside the courtyard and the heated pool glows among the beautiful outdoor patio lighting. The house was designed with no wasted measurements, but with flexibility, and Mexican / Country / Minimal aesthetics all in mind. These were all inspired elements with purpose.
This artist inspired San Pancho home is clean, newly built with the warmth of Mexico, all local materials and is ready for your personal touch. All custom furniture and brand new appliances are included as well.
